… or  Dev Error 5479 . This problem occurs, as a rule, for standard (as for errors of this type) reasons, the most “popular” of which are:

• corrupted game files;
• outdated version of the video card driver;
• conflict with installed applications.

• restart MW2 and the BattleNet client (close completely and then run as administrator) and / or restart the computer;

• If after that  error 5479  still does not allow you to play, then in this case it is better to reinstall the game. And do not forget that when we install or  update CoD , it is better not to press any pauses and not turn off the computer while the game is being installed or updated. It’s easier to wait a bit than to mess around with such minor problems or reinstall the game again…

MODERN WARFARE 2 ISSUES – ERROR 0X887A0006

… and takes off. Moreover, randomly and for no apparent reason. The situation is not yet clear. But that’s for now. However, when error 0x887A0006 occurs , we try the following as an option:

• launch MW2 and open graphics settings;

• if it doesn’t work, then we dissolve the team again, and after that it is necessary that another player creates it – we go into battle;
• if it doesn’t work again, we try another game mode, reassemble the team again and see how the lobby fills up.

If after that it doesn’t leak further than the “ Connecting ” stage, we double-check the status of the servers again.

MODERN WARFARE 2 ISSUES – TRAVIS-RILEA ERROR

… also means that the connection to the server failed. Therefore, we act on the standard program:

• check the status by the Call of Duty server (see the link at the beginning of the post);
• we check the connection of the computer / console to the Network (reboot them, as well as the router);
• temporarily disable the antivirus and firewall (and / or add the exe-file of the game to the list of exceptions).
• If the game still gives the Travis-Rilea error, then double-check the status of the servers.

MODERN WARFARE 2 PROBLEMS – SHOWCASE NOT WORKING AND PERFORMERS NOT SWITCHING

If you can’t change the artist, business card, logo, or tag through the Change Showcase menu (only the default character is displayed and the showcase doesn’t actually work), then this is a #MW2 bug , one of… What to do?

MODERN WARFARE 2 ISSUES – HUENEME-CONCORD ERROR

The HUENEME CONCORD code in Modern Warfare 2 means a regular / regular connection failure to the server, which usually occurs due to some technical trouble on the other side. That is, in the vast majority of cases, the maximum that is required of you is standard:

Plus, while we are waiting along the way, we check the connection of the computer to the Internet (for prevention, you can also restart the computer and router).

MODERN WARFARE 2 ISSUES – ERROR 6146

Dev error 6146 also kicks out of the queue in the lobby and, most likely, also occurs due to a connection failure. However, this error, judging by the reviews, equally “successfully” happens in all game modes of CoD MW2 and WZ2.

However, when the game gives error 6146, no matter what mode we are playing in:

• restart the computer (and at the same time the router – for prevention);
• we start the procedure for restoring game files;
• run the game as administrator and check for updates.

If after that error 6146 still does not disappear, then we try to repeat the same thing in half an hour. If it still doesn’t work, then it looks like you need to reinstall the game.

MODERN WARFARE 2 PROBLEMS – UNABLE TO INVITE TO A GROUP

Why it suddenly fails to invite one of your friends, we do not yet know. But when such a problem arises, that is, we notice that the function is blocked (in the “ Friends ” section, the “ Friendship Offer ” button is gray and “ Unavailable “ is written under it ) and the invite cannot be sent, then first we simply restart MW2.

The game will reconnect to the server and this is usually enough – the button will work and the invitation will go away normally. Otherwise, we try to send an invite, so to speak, in alternative ways:

• install the Call of Duty Companion application and add everyone you need as friends from your smartphone;
• open the “ Settings ” of the game, go to the “ Network and account ” section , then to the “ Activision account ” and ask a friend to add himself (you) as a friend – the option to send an invitation should then be unlocked;
• open the menu ” Quick setup “, then – ” Notifications ” and accept an invitation from there – this should also unblock the sending of invites.

MODERN WARFARE 2 PROBLEMS – BATTLE PASS NOT WORKING?

The ” Battle Pass ” button in the menu is just gray and inactive, and the corresponding section simply does not open. Nothing at all … But it’s okay. This is how it should be (at the time of this post). The MW2 Battle Pass will start working with the start of Season 1 in the game, that is, from November 16 of this year (if nothing changes in the plans of the developers).

As for the first season, there is very little information so far. About preliminary information, at least one map, a couple of new weapons and many new “performers” will be added to the game. As for the duration of the season and the number of levels, there is no data yet (although they stipulate that the season will stretch for three months, and there will be about a hundred levels).

Well, antivirus, of course. That is, if MW2 crashes immediately after launch, this fact may indicate that an antivirus that blocks the exe-file or some individual files does not allow it to function normally. It’s easy to remove. Disable antivirus and restart MW2. Better yet, add the entire game folder or exe file to the antivirus exclusion list. After that, it is also recommended to perform the file recovery procedure (via the Steam client) and restart the game again.

MODERN WARFARE 2 ISSUES – OPERATING SYSTEM NOT SUPPORTED

Yes, this happens too. Moreover, often. And all because Modern Warfare 2 only works with 64-bit versions and only Windows 10 and Windows 11. The game does not support 32-bit versions and older Windows.
